ICEF Education Fund

Helping disadvantaged young people around the world to access education, assist their path to education, personal growth, and social involvement.

We provide support to promising educational projects around the world in areas where funding is either difficult to obtain or non-existent.

Expanding access to education and opportunity

The ICEF Education Fund reflects ICEF’s long-standing engagement with education-focused projects that support access to learning, skills development, and social inclusion in diverse communities around the world.

Over the past decades, ICEF has supported and worked alongside a wide range of initiatives addressing educational access in contexts where resources are limited, unevenly distributed, or disrupted by social, economic, or environmental challenges. These initiatives span multiple regions and education settings, united by a shared focus on enabling learning, personal growth, and opportunity for young people.

Recent project highlight (2024)

Hands Across the Water (Thailand)

Hands Across the Water was founded in response to the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami and supports children living and learning in residential homes and community-based programmes across Thailand.

The organisation currently supports more than 350 children through seven homes and associated outreach initiatives, providing accommodation, education, healthcare, and family support.

In 2024, ICEF representatives Rod and Cathy Hearps undertook a 500 km cycling journey across Thailand to raise awareness and support for Hands Across the Water’s work. This initiative reflects ICEF’s continued engagement with education-focused causes through direct, practical involvement.
