FAM Tours and Receptions

Familiarisation (FAM) tours and receptions are excellent opportunities to promote your organisation to event attendees. With the flexibility to tailor every event element, reinforce your brand by making it unique and memorable.

FAM Tour Guidelines
  • FAM tour organisers may determine all logistics, conditions and costs associated with their tour, including which event participants are accepted to join, and which are not.
  • ICEF will not get involved in the organisation of FAM tours, but simply ensure relevancy for event participants as well as an equal representation of tours to all delegates.
  • All delegates interested in attending FAM tours will be asked to make direct contact with the tour organiser. Organisers are responsible for confirming or declining acceptance directly with participants.
  • FAM tour organisers wishing to promote their tour through ICEF are required to submit a proposal. All proposals are subject to approval by ICEF.
  • FAM tours may only be offered outside of event related activities and times.
Reception Guidelines
  • Reception organisers may determine all logistics, conditions, and costs associated with their event, including acceptance criteria for event participants and other business partners.
  • ICEF will not get involved in organising receptions, but will ensure receptions are relevant for event participants and offer an equal number of receptions to all delegates.
  • All event participants interested in attending a reception will be asked to make direct contact with the organiser. Organisers are responsible for confirming or declining acceptance directly with participants.
  • Receptions may only be offered outside of event-related activities and times.

Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders: A Day in the life at The Urban Camp Founded in August 2019, The Urban Camp is a new and emerging innovative school in Vancouver. We offer innovation, technology, digital skills, leadership, environmental sustainability and wellness educational programs in the summer and Easter. Our diverse student body includes participants from Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Uruguay, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Ukraine, the USA, and Canada.
We welcome students aged 10 to 17 for two to four-week camps.

We want to invite Agents to experience firsthand what a youth summer program focusing on innovation looks like.
We want to empower Agents to learn, understand, and gain hands-on experience in inspiring and motivating their clients to prepare for a digital era.

This immersive and enlightening experience is designed to simulate a day in the life of our students and future digital leaders.
A Day in the Life at The Urban Camp offers a unique opportunity to explore how cutting-edge innovation, leadership, digital skills, and environmental sustainability are shaping the leaders of tomorrow.

We will take Agents inside The Urban Camp, a dynamic educational hub where students thrive through hands-on learning, collaborative projects, and holistic development. Agents will witness transformative teaching methods in action and engage with experts pioneering sustainable practices, fostering digital skills and entrepreneurship, and integrating wellness and Tech into education.

FAM Organization (Sample Day Schedule)

6:45 AM to 7:00 AM - The Registration Process at the Hotel Lobby.

7:30 AM The Wellness Lab:
Agents will explore programs that cultivate students' resilience, creativity, mindfulness, and leadership qualities. We will take agents on an urban hike, followed by a yoga/stretching and mindfulness workshop.
Food: Power Snack and energetic smoothies to be provided
Transportation: Power walk!

10 AM The HUB:
-->Intro to The Urban Camp: Discover the powerhouse in charge of preparing and priming youth for the digital age.
-->The importance of instilling youth to technology told firsthand by industry experts
--> Sustainability in Action: Learn how environmental awareness is embedded into every aspect of learning experience.
--> Networking Opportunities: Connect with industry leaders in a stunning urban setting.
Food: Fresh baguettes, french pastries, fruit and beverages (no alcoholic or sugar-full sodas). In collaboration with our French Chef, who has been catering to our students since 2022
Transportation: Ideal public transit since that is the way we move with our students, but we will consider a private Van for the occasion.

1:00 PM The LABS:
--> Emerging Technologies: Learn + Play - An Intro to AI, Machine Learning (ML), Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR) and Extended Reality (XR).
--> Interactive Workshops: Discover how technology and innovation empower students to tackle real-world challenges. Get hands-on in a mini The Urban Camp Hackathon!
Food: Healthy and funky snacks
Transportation: It is a short walk in a trendy neighbourhood!

4:00 PM UBC Campus Tour:
Exclusive Campus Tour to experience students' daily life at The Urban Camp and see how they prepare for a globally competitive future.
Food: None
Transportation: We will consider a private Van for the occasion.

5:00 PM The Happy Agent Hour:
This space allows agents to relax and unwind while soaking in Vancouver's stunning landscapes. This exclusive gathering offers the perfect blend of networking and inspiration as agents share insights on future-ready education with fellow global agents. Food: Locally crafted food that embodies the innovation and culture students experience will be provided. Non-alcoholic beers, wines, bubbles, and mocktails will be provided. We do not want to promote alcohol in the education industry but may be willing to adapt accordingly.
We aim for agents to leave equipped with fresh ideas to inspire their clients and students worldwide. Cheers to shaping the future, one connection at a time!
Transportation: N/A - On campus

6:30 PM: The Departure
We will take agents to the hotel so they can continue with their dinner plans.
Transportation: We will consider a private Vans for the occasion.
