In 2027, ICEF South Asia will take place in Bengaluru, one of India’s fastest-growing metropolitan centres and a major technology hub, often referred to as the country’s Silicon Valley. Known as the “Garden City” for its green spaces and temperate climate, Bengaluru provides an excellent setting for ICEF South Asia.
This long-established event gives international educators the opportunity to meet ICEF-accredited student recruitment agencies from across India and the wider South Asian region, including Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. These agencies work closely with institutions worldwide and play an important role in supporting students who plan to study abroad.
South Asia has become one of the most important drivers of global student mobility. A 2024 report by Navitas forecasts that the region could account for around 15% of internationally mobile students by 2030, with outbound mobility from India increasing significantly in recent years. For institutions seeking to expand or diversify their international enrolments, the region continues to grow in strategic importance.
Participation at ICEF South Asia is limited to agencies that hold ICEF Agency Status accreditation, following ICEF’s screening, reference-checking, and eligibility review process.
