ICEF Agency Status (IAS) Plus

A structured group profile for multi-branch agencies

What is IAS Plus?

IAS Plus is designed for international education agencies operating across multiple branches or entities. It extends ICEF Agency Status (IAS) by providing a structured view of how an organisation operates across its network.

Institutions often engage with agencies at brand level, while recruitment activity is delivered across multiple offices and locations. In practice, this can make it difficult to see how an organisation is structured and where activity is taking place. This becomes particularly relevant for larger agencies that want institutional partners to understand their full footprint clearly and consistently.

IAS Plus brings branch and entity information into a single, structured group profile. This allows institutions to understand how an organisation is set up across markets, including the relationship between the central entity and individual offices.

For larger agencies, this provides a clearer and more consistent way of presenting organisational structure across markets.

What is included in IAS Plus?

IAS Plus builds on ICEF Agency Status (IAS), which provides a structured framework for presenting agency identity, references and operating information, and is used by more than 2,300 agencies across 130 countries.

IAS Plus gathers additional information to present the wider organisational structure clearly and support institutional understanding. This includes:

✔️ Group structure: Legal entity, ownership structure and principal stakeholders

✔️ Company information: Registered details, address, directors or responsible officers, and number and location of operating offices

✔️ Branch network: Declared offices or branches, including business name, address, and responsible contact

✔️ Public presence: Website and publicly available company and office information

✔️ Memberships and affiliations: Relevant industry memberships, professional associations or certifications where applicable

✔️ Institutional references: References from recognised education providers supporting confirmation of operational track record

Maintaining IAS Plus

Agencies with IAS Plus are expected to acknowledge the ICEF Agency Code of Conduct, notify ICEF of significant changes such as structure, ownership or key personnel, and participate in an annual review.
