Canada’s premier education networking event, connecting North American educators and student recruitment agents focusing on Canada and the US

Around two thirds of the world’s international students rely on education agents to help them pick the institutions they will attend; as a result, agents have become the preferred recruitment method for an increasing number of Canadian and US educators.

This growing trend is closely related to the expansion of the ICEF North America Workshop in Canada, the country’s leading networking event for educators and international agents. For the last few years, this workshop has attracted more and more North American educators: for the 2012 Montreal Workshop alone, educator numbers grew by 10%. The number of agents in attendance also rose by 7%, boosting the total participant number to 632. These facts confirm that ICEF’s Canada-based workshop has become the largest international networking event in the country.

In 2013, the ICEF North America Workshop returns to Toronto. Here, Canadian and American educators will meet hundreds of educational agents, vetted by ICEF’s rigorous screening procedure: among other requirements, agents must provide several references from current North American educator partners, and disclose the number of students they have successfully placed in North America in the last year.

Prior to the conference, educators gain access to eSchedule PRO, ICEF’s customised scheduling software, with which educators can easily determine relevant agents and pre-arrange up to 38 face-to-face meetings. Participants also benefit from a series of seminar presentations providing industry intelligence, as well as various informal networking occasions.

Attended by the best educational agents in the market, and organised by the industry leader in educator-agent networking events, the ICEF North America Workshop - Toronto will be 2013’s premier international education event in Canada.
