Redrawing the map of student mobility Part I: Study destinations in the Middle East

For years, international student mobility has gravitated towards the ‘Big Four’ (the US, UK, Australia, and Canada), attracting the vast majority of students seeking to study abroad.

However, proactive government strategies, competitive tuition fees, and attractive post-study work opportunities, as well as evolving policies in traditional host countries, has caused the landscape to shift. To better understand the implications, we are pleased to present a three-part webinar series, the first of which focuses on the Middle East.

In this webinar we analyse the strategic factors driving the growth of destinations like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. We will explore what emerging destinations can learn from the experiences of established ones, and the innovative strategies traditional host countries can learn in return. Additionally, we will highlight how institutions in the ‘Big Four’ can tap into the opportunities that this new landscape provides.
