Name of hosting organisation: BURNABY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Date: 23/04/2019 from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
Location: Burnaby, Greater Vancouver, BC
Burnaby School District invites overseas agents to visit 2 of our schools and to have a fun afternoon at a golf driving range.
Burnaby is located a short 25 minute Skytrain ride from downtown Vancouver, and is the 4th largest school district in BC. We have 41 elementary schools (K-7) and 8 high schools (grades 8-12). International students are welcomed to study alongside local students for 5, 10 or more months, and to stay to graduate.
Burnaby is well-recognized for its large AP Program, Visual & Performing Arts programs, and its exceptional support for students and its agent partners. Burnaby offers 5 sports academies, 3 IT academies, a Robotics academy, French Immersion, and much more.
Tour two of our high schools, explore the Burnaby community, enjoy lunch in one of our fine restaurants, and choose to join us at the golfing driving range for an afternoon of fun, or go back downtown Vancouver after lunch for your own free time.
We will give each participant a $200 prepaid Visa gift card to compensate for the cost of a hotel room for the night of April 22 for FAM Tour participants.
See the proposed itinerary below, and send an email if you are interested in participating to richard.payne@burnabyschools.ca by March 31, 2019. We will confirm your acceptance on the tour by April 8, 2019.
