Our certified courses and accreditations support our global community of counsellors, and we are proud that today, ICEF certified education agents can be found in every corner of the globe.<\/p>\n<p>Driven to support quality and professional standards in international student recruitment practices, ICEF created the ICEF Agent Training Course (IATC) in 2010.\u00a0 Since then, it has developed a Chinese language customised version of the IATC as well as a range of courses focused on popular study destinations, including Canada, the USA and Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, ICEF acquired the PIER digital platform from Australia-based International Education Services (IES). The acquisition brought with it the <a class=\"waffle-rich-text-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.icef.com\/academy\/courses\/education-agent-training-course-eatc\/\">Education Agent Training Course (EATC)<\/a>, developed in partnership with Australian Education International (AEI) and the Department of Home Affairs (DHA). The newly updated course became part of ICEF&#8217;s agent training programme, adding Australia to its portfolio of study destinations.<\/p>\n<p>A year later, the <a class=\"waffle-rich-text-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.icef.com\/academy\/courses\/uk-agent-and-counsellor-training-course\/\">UK Agent and Counsellor Training Course<\/a> was added, delivered in partnership with the British Council, the UK&#8217;s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities. It is a comprehensive professional course for agents and advisers who work with education providers or advise students wishing to study in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Also in 2023, we produced our first training programme for education providers, the <a class=\"waffle-rich-text-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.icef.com\/academy\/courses\/working-with-education-agents\/\">Working With Education Agents Course (WEAC)<\/a>, a self-paced online course designed to give a comprehensive understanding of the role of agents in the sector. In early 2024, we launched the <a class=\"waffle-rich-text-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.icef.com\/academy\/courses\/introduction-to-international-education\/\">Introduction to International Education Course (IIEC)<\/a>, an entry-level training programme for non-agents that provides a comprehensive overview of international education systems, recruitment channels and career opportunities in international education.<\/p>\n<p>We firmly believe in the transformational benefits to individuals, communities and society as a whole that come directly from international education.
