The ICEF Dubai Workshop 2018, held between February 12th and 14th this year, saw an increased number of agents taking part compared to 2017. Agents also came from a wider range of markets than last year, underlining the growing diversity of the student recruitment industry.
In total, 218 agents attended the ICEF Dubai Workshop 2018, an increase of 8% over 2017. These agents represented 166 organisations and came from 31 countries compared to 26 countries last year. More than 90% of agents were seeking to recruit across at least four different education categories, with undergraduate programmes the most popular (98% of agents recruiting in this category), followed by post-graduate Masters programmes (96%), language courses (94%), and post-graduate certificates (91%).
Ravnish Bhola, a Director of student recruitment agency Europe Education Providers (India), commented: “Attending ICEF workshops has always been a great experience. Our company continues to make valuable new contacts, and it’s easy to interact with our existing network. It’s a very warm feeling to meet business associates and friends from all over the world under one roof. Thanks once again, ICEF, for another great opportunity and amazing experience.”
Diversity was seen across the board at this year’s event, with participants coming from 52 countries around the world compared to 44 countries in 2017, including educators and service providers. David Arrowsmith, Principal at inlingua Cheltenham (UK), said: “I have attended this event at least ten times. For my school, this is the most productive of all ICEF events and I will keep coming in the future. The event is just the right size and the quality of agents is always good and well selected.”
The next ICEF Dubai Workshop will take place between February 11th and 13th 2019 at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Dubai, UAE. For more information, please visit: www.icef.com/dubai.
