The ICEF Vancouver Workshop
Vancouver, May 26 - 28, 2011
Meet quality student recruitment agents from around the world sending students to the US and Canada

Hyatt Regency, Vancouver • May 26 - 28, 2011
Canada and the US are among the top destinations for international students. Renowned for high quality education and home to many of the world’s top institutions, North America continues to attract large numbers of students from around the globe.
With up to 80% of international students seeking the assistance of agents or counsellors, and in the face of increased competition, agency based recruitment has become an important strategy for US and Canadian institutions.
The ICEF North America Workshop in Toronto, May 2010 was the first ICEF event to be held in Canada. Selling out weeks in advance, the workshop hosted a record 195 educators and 219 international student recruitment agents from 53 countries around the world, increasing 16% over the 2009 Miami event.
The second Canada-based workshop will take place in Vancouver, immediately prior to the NAFSA conference. Located in beautiful British Columbia, Vancouver is the third largest Canadian city and is renowned for its natural environment, making it an exciting location for this international networking event.
All student recruitment agents attending the workshop undergo ICEF’s selection and screening process which is considered to be the most stringent in the industry. Along with providing detailed information about their business and references from current educator partners, agents must demonstrate a clear focus on sending students to North America.
Educators are able to pre-schedule one-to-one business appointments with recruitment agents well before the event. The ICEF version of the eSchedule PRO online appointment scheduler allows educators to select agents by country and education sector – meaning educators only meet agents that fit with their student recruitment objectives.
The ICEF Vancouver Workshop is an ideal opportunity for US and Canadian institutions to benefit from a large number of top quality agents who are committed to increasing international student enrolments in North America.
