The ICEF Higher Education Workshop is designed to enable accredited higher education institutions to meet with the best tertiary-focussed education agents. The event is focussed around pre-scheduled, one-to-one business appointments and is known as the premier networking event for institutions, educational service providers and student recruitment agents.

At the 2012 Higher Education Workshop in Dublin, 75 educators and 15 exhibitors held 2206 meetings with 104 of the highest quality, specialist recruitment agents from 50 countries around the globe.

While most educational institutions recognise the importance of international students, many educators do not realise the crucial role education agents play in the continued growth of this sector. Education agents deliver many advantages for educators. They provide institutions with a presence in important markets; they provide personal and culturally-aware counselling in the students’ native language; and they can monitor enrolment criteria prior to application.

The calibre of attending agents is maintained by ICEF’s thorough screening procedure. This control process requires prospective agents to provide verifiable data on previous business experience, including recent references from higher education partners.

To ensure that educators receive the greatest benefit from attending the 2013 ICEF Higher Education Workshop, it immediately follows the 2013 EAIE conference. Both events take place in the same city, back-to-back.
