About this Workshop

The ICEF Beijing Workshop is the largest agent networking event of its kind in Asia. China remains the leading supplier of international students in the world, making this a must-attend event for all education institutions wanting to build relationships in China and greater Asia.

The ICEF Beijing Workshop attracts the best international educators and service providers connecting them with quality, ICEF-screened Asian agents.

ICEF’s appointment scheduling system allows participants to make the most of their time in Beijing. Participants can pre-select agents after reviewing their comprehensive profiles online prior to the event. In addition, participants may also attend various seminars, expert panels, and presentations each providing valuable insights into the latest trends and research affecting international education.

As an additional benefit, the ICEF Beijing Workshop maintains a dual inbound and outbound focus, meaning that at this workshop educators can also meet other institutions to develop exchange programmes and joint ventures.

PROPOSAL FORM for FAM Tours and Receptions / Beijing

FAM Tours & Receptions

Agent familiarisation (FAM) tours and receptions are excellent ways for you to gain exposure and promote your institution and / or association to event registered agents.

FAM tours allow you to take advantage of a large number of agents attending the event and attract them to visit your institution, campus and region. Effective FAM tours enable agents to increase their product knowledge and bring back first-hand experience to potential students.

FAM Tour guidelines:

  • FAM tour organisers may determine all logistics, conditions and costs associated with their tour, including which event participants are accepted to join, and which are not.
  • ICEF will not get involved in the organisation of FAM tours, but simply ensure relevancy for event participants as well as an equal representation of tours to all delegates.
  • All delegates interested in attending FAM tours will be asked to make direct contact with the tour organiser. Organisers are responsible for confirming or declining acceptance directly with participants.
  • FAM tour organisers wishing to promote their tour through ICEF are required to submit a proposal. All proposals are subject to approval by ICEF.
  • FAM tours may only be offered outside of event related activities and times.
  • Only organisations attending the event may meet and host other event participants. We do not wish to encourage non-registered institutions to access and benefit from meeting potential business partners that event registered organisations have paid to meet.

Reception guidelines:

Receptions allow you to host agents in a memorable way while reinforcing your brand. Inviting the agents that you wish to target gives you the chance to make meaningful and focused connections in a relaxed and fun environment.

  • Reception organisers may determine all logistics, conditions and costs associated with their event, including which event participants and other business partners are accepted to join, and which are not.
  • ICEF will not get involved in the organisation of receptions, but simply ensure relevancy for event participants as well as an equal representation of receptions to all delegates.
  • All event participants interested in attending a reception will be asked to make direct contact with the reception organiser. Organisers are responsible for confirming or declining acceptance directly with participants.
  • Reception organisers wishing to promote their event through ICEF are requested to provide information as outlined on the ICEF website.
  • Receptions may only be offered outside of event related activities and times.
  • Only organisations attending the event may meet and host other event participants. We do not wish to encourage non-registered institutions to access and benefit from meeting potential business partners that event registered organisations have paid to meet.

Visas are required for all foreigners entering mainland China except for those holding passports from Brunei, Japan or Singapore, who enjoy visa-free access to China (restricted to a maximum stay of 15 days). Please contact your local Chinese Consulate or Embassy to enquire about visa regulations for your particular country and how to obtain a visa. As the visa procedures can be rather time consuming we recommend that you obtain this information as soon as possible. Further information and a list of Chinese embassies can be found at
    www.travelchinaguide.com

    Tourist Visa

If you are applying for a tourist visa, the Chinese embassy in your country should not require any additional documentation from ICEF. A standard single-entry visitor visa is usually easy to obtain and valid for a duration of 30 days from the date of entry.

    Business Visa

If you are applying for a business visa, the Chinese embassy will require an invitation letter from a relevant organisation in China. Please note that the application for the business visa is time consuming and expensive: total processing time can take up to 4 weeks. Please also note that ICEF can only provide you with a letter of invitation for the duration of the workshop (October 11 to 14, 2017).
