Moscow Workshop Showcases New Regional Markets

March’s ICEF Moscow Workshop was a real coming-out for new agents and emerging regional markets throughout Russia and the Community of Independent States (CIS). A record number of 247 educational agents from 14 countries – 20% of whom were first-time participants – made a powerful statement about the rapid growth and increasing importance of the Russian and CIS markets.

This year’s event saw a 15% increase in total delegates over the 2005 workshop. The number of new participants created an unmistakable buzz (not to mention full-to-overflowing appointment schedules) on the workshop floor. “The ICEF Moscow Workshop,” observed AVI International’s Laurence Robin (France), “remains the place to meet new educational agencies from the CIS.”

Also of note this year, ICEF sponsored a unique pre-workshop agent seminar entitled “How to Work Successfully With Universities – A Practitioner’s View.” The seminar marks another step toward expanded market intelligence and professional development sessions at the ICEF Workshops. Special thanks to Andy Nichol (Nottingham Trent University) and Chris Price (London Institute of Business and Technology at Brunel University), both of whom received rave reviews from the standing-room-only crowd for their seminar presentations.

Please see the ICEF website for more on the 2006 programme and for details on next year’s Moscow Workshop.
