ICEF Training Signs Agreement with IES

In a move that significantly expands the professional development opportunities for international student recruitment agents, ICEF Training and Australia-based International Education Services (IES) have established a new partnership to deliver the Education Agent Training Course, a component of IES's PIER training platform.

PIER (Professional International Education Resources) is a web-based portal providing information and training to individuals involved in international education, including a substantial database of resources, a news service and various training courses.

The Education Agent Training Course (EATC) is specifically aimed at education agents who counsel and refer students to study in Australia. It is contained within the wider group of PIER courses for international education professionals, and is offered in partnership with Australia Education International (AEI) and the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).

ICEF Training will provide resources and facilities at select ICEF Workshops throughout the year for the on-site formal testing of agents wishing to become Qualified Education Agent Counsellors. Agents will also benefit from a special EATC training course offered at the Australia New Zealand Agent (ANZA) Workshop in Auckland (April 22-24, 2009). Further cooperation is planned, such as the licensing of software and content for the delivery of new agent training courses currently under development.
