NEWSFLASH

ICEF Announces New
Higher Education Workshop

The number of international students enrolled in Higher Education programmes is projected to increase exponentially over the next 15 years. Given that education agents participate in as much as 60% of the world’s international student placements, there is an increasing need for effective working relationships between Higher Education institutions and agents.

In keeping with this rising world demand for Higher Education, ICEF is pleased to announce the ICEF Higher Education Workshop, to be held in Trondheim, Norway in September 2007 and scheduled in conjunction with next year’s EAIE conference.

Please visit the ICEF Higher Education Workshop page for details.

ICEF Online Coming in November

As a special preview for ICEF Bulletin readers, we are pleased to announce ICEF Online, a new joint venture between ICEF and EdMedia.

ICEF Online is a collaborative Internet platform for education agents and education providers. It features a range of tools to support agent-provider relationship management, online marketing and communications, brand management for education providers, and student enquiry management for agents. Special features for education providers include:

  • Tools that automatically stream up-to-date, approved marketing content to your agents’ websites (e.g., profiles, promotional copy, images, approved logos, and enquiry forms).
  • A networking system that supports communication with educational agents, and smooths execution of new agency agreements.

This unique new online platform will be launched at the ICEF Berlin Workshop in November, with more information to follow in the November issue of the ICEF Bulletin.

Asia is the engine that will drive this dramatic worldwide demand for education for at least the next two decades, led by the emerging mega-markets of India and China. Read more…
