Visa Information

Visas are required for all foreigners entering mainland China except for those holding passports from Brunei, Japan or Singapore, who enjoy visa-free access to China (restricted to a maximum stay of 15 days). Please contact your local Chinese Consulate or Embassy to enquire about visa regulations for your particular country and how to obtain a visa. As the visa procedures can be rather time consuming we recommend that you obtain this information as soon as possible. Further information and a list of Chinese embassies can be found at

Tourist Visa

If you are applying for a tourist visa, the Chinese embassy in your country should not require any additional documentation from ICEF.

Business Visa

If you are applying for a business visa, the Chinese embassy will require an original invitation letter from the relevant state departments of the People's Republic of China, local government, business entity or non-profit governmental organisation. You can obtain this business visa invitation letter from ICEF's partner visa agency in China at an additional charge.
Please note that the application for the business visa is time consuming and expensive: total processing time for the business visa can take up to 4 weeks. Please also note that ICEF can only provide you with a letter of invitation for the duration of the workshop (October 16 to 19, 2013).

The fee will be 50 USD per applicant for a faxed document plus approximately 60 USD per applicant (courier charge) for a mailed document.
Application deadline is September 01
. After that date ICEF cannot guarantee that the document can be provided in time for a successful visa application.
